Fifi’s Portrait

I was playing with my camera yesterday, after reading some photography books.  Lacking any other willing subject, I ended up taking some shots of Fifi, playing with the different settings.  So here is Fifi’s portrait.

Edward’s Birthday Party

Today was Edward’s birthday party.  Lily had a lovely time playing with Edward, Lana and Edward’s friend Emily.  Emily’s mum Lisa was there too, with baby Hannah, who at 2 months old is nearly the same size of baby Lex who’s 4 months.

Sophie had a bad day though.  I lost count of the number of time-outs she had.  I think she’s teething, and she’s been getting very frustrated with everything, having big tantrums.  Poor little thing.  Hopefully she’ll get over this soon.

Leela’s Birthday Party

We went to Leela’s birthday party, back in Slough.  We made an early start and got to Windsor in time to have fab burgers from our favourite burger joint (which didn’t open till after we’d moved from town, obviously, otherwise we’d never have left).  Lily actually ate most of her burger, and drank most of my milkshake, too.

Then we headed over to Leela’s house for the party, which came complete with clown to provide entertainment.  Lily and Sophie were terrified of the clown, and spent the first thirty minutes clinging to me.  I managed to transfer Sophie’s limpet-like grip to Neil, so I just had Lily to worry about.  They finally settled down, and Lily in particular had a ball with the pinata.  She wasn’t sure what to do at first, when all the sweets fell on the floor, but with a little encouragement she soon got into the swing of it.  Unfortunately for her, her mean mummy ate most of the sweets she got.  Never mind.

Identity Crisis

So Socks might be in for a name change.

(He was named Socks when we adopted him, but as his legs are completely white, he looks more like he is wearing waders than socks.)

So, suggestions please for new names for our little boy cat.

Currently up for consideration:

  • Bailey (as he is my 3rd-child-substitute, and this has always been a potential name for a boy-child)
  • Sylvester
  • Mr Noodle (courtesy of Lily)

Neil, of course, has no opinion on any of these, except for veto-ing pretty much every suggestion.  So your assistance would be appreciated!
